Recordings

Bread of Angels

Music ministers,

In this strange time of not being able to serve as music ministers I offer you the opportunity to serve as music ministers anyway. Bread of Angels BB365 is a song we were going to sing for holy Thursday Good Friday Easter vigil and Easter morning. Our project is to record it with as many people participating as possible. The idea is to play a recording during communion during those services. If you are singing melody you may want to use Breaking Bread. Otherwise the octavo is attached.

Step one is underway: a recording of four parts, piano, guitar, bass guitar. While this is being compiled I ask you to practice the attached music. And at the link below you can find recordings of individual parts and a link to a complete published recording. FOR NOW LEARN YOUR PART.

Step 2: I will supply to everyone an mp3 of that base recording. YOU CAN RECORD ONCE YOU HAVE THAT MP3. This is how we are going to add everyone’s voices to that recording.. this requires three things.

  1. A device other than your phone to play the mp3 on.
  2. Headphones or earbuds to listen to it while you sing along. You may want to have one ear in and one out so you can hear yourself
  3. A device, probably a cell phone, that you can record yourself on and
  4. Send me the recording so I can add it. If you get two good takes, send both

Parts (thanks Bill!)
